At Kansas State University, Sheila significantly boosted the university's social media presence, positioning it as a national leader in the digital space. Her expertise was further recognized during her time as a social media consultant for the Kansas Small Business Development Center.

In 2016, Sheila and her husband, Jermain, founded SEG Media Collective LLC, delivering high-quality branding and social media consulting and management services globally. Over the past decade, she and her team have created numerous award-winning brands and campaigns, catering to a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies.

Sheila's passion extends beyond her professional pursuits to advocating for economic justice and supporting underrepresented businesses. As the co-founder and executive director of the Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills, she plays a crucial role in empowering underrepresented businesses in Kansas. This commitment was honored with the 2021 Minority Business Advocate of the Year award by the State of Kansas Department of Commerce.

The business has since grown to secure retail partnerships, showcasing the family’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to building a legacy of innovation and resilience.
